Travel Agent FAQs

Most people think travel agents are only for older folks who don’t want to research and plan using the internet.

But they’re wrong!

How much do you charge?

To quote your trip, provide insight and ideas, and book your vacation, I’m FREE!

Occasionally there are extra services I provide that do have a fee, such as Disney dining reservations, domestic flights, and repeated changes to quote parameters.

Do you only book Disney vacations?

Nope! I can help you with a cruise, European vacations with tours, all-inclusive resorts, Universal vacations or other great family destinations, group travel, you name it!

Will you get me a deal?

I’ll try! We typically have access to the same prices that the general public does, but we are notified when deals drop and can usually apply those to your booking to get you the best rate.

Some vendors will price match to discount sites as well.

Support my small business! We are paid commissions by vacation and resort vendors, so if you’re paying the same amount elsewhere, that commission money just goes back to them instead of to a travel agent.

Also, if you have to pay a little more to use a travel agent, just know that is money well spent by having us in your corner if there is an emergency, or to help with pre-trip planning.

What should I pack in my theme park bag?

  1. Pack small. Some rides will not allow you to bring your backpack or bag onto the ride with you. You will be required to stash it in a provided locker, but they are not large!

  2. Bring a poncho. Even if it doesn’t rain, you may want to use it to go on some rides where you could get wet. A poncho packs smaller than extra clothes!

  3. Wear a lanyard/phone case. You may need your ticket or phone to access a ride (Express Pass folks), or want your phone while you are waiting in line, after the locker area.

  4. Bring a snack. Granola bars have saved many a theme park day.

  5. Sunscreen! You’ll be outside walking or eating, don’t ruin the rest of your vacation on day 1!

  6. Portable phone charger. I like Fuel Rods, because you can swap it in the park for $3. Each rod charges your phone to approximately 100%.

  7. ID and credit card.

  8. Refillable water bottle. A collapsible one is nice for your small bag, or one with a fan attached to save you on those hot hot days!

  9. If you have littles, a change of clothes is great to pack. I usually pack a pair of PJ’s, they pack small and can be used for an in-park emergency or to get cozy for the ride home.

  10. Universal Hollywood - bring a sweater or light jacket, those So Cal nights get chilly! Universal Orlando - summer you won’t need this, but winter can get chilly at night.

  11. Themed apparel/gear. We usually bring our Power Up Bands, Peach crown, Wands, and a Hogwarts robe to feel on-theme in the parks.
